EPA FAQ //
There are several categories of Membership within the EPA;
Practitioner Members – open to those who choose to learn and qualify for the Healing Therapies as presented by Universal Medicine have signed the EPA Code of Ethics and choose to offer sessions part-time or full time. Practitioners range from professionally practicing full-time Esoteric Practitioners to those practicing part-time. The Esoteric Healing Practitioner Member category also includes those members currently undergoing training and completing their studies in the Universal Medicine Therapies but who have not yet fulfilled the requirements to join as a Practitioner Member. These members are referred to as ‘Practitioners in Training’. Both of these membership categories require a formal energetic assessment.
Associate Membership – open to all those who choose to support the Association and its principles. Associate Members are members who wish to support and remain updated with the proceedings of the EPA, but may not be active practitioners of the Universal Medicine Therapies. Associate Members are not eligible for insurance and simply join to receive updates, notices and newsletters from the EPA as well as to support the EPA and what it stands for. All members are eligible to attend the yearly EPA Conference, free of charge.
Professional Members – open to those who have signed and aligned to the EPA Code and choose to apply these living principles to both their personal and professional lives in a variety of jobs and professions. They do not require insurance, as they are not practicing the Universal Medicine Therapies
How long will it take to process my membership application?
Depending on your level of application and the assessments that this entails your application should be processed within 3 – 10 days of being received by the EPA Office, if all necessary information is provided and all documentation is filled out correctly.
What is the EPA Professional Development Program and what does it entail?
Participation and completion of the EPA Professional Development Program is required, in order to renew for EPA Practitioner Membership Levels 1 – 5 for all therapies.
This includes an assessment of your ongoing studies and personal development with the Universal Medicine Therapies and philosophies. The EPA Conference accounts for almost half of these PD Points as do each of the Universal Medicine Therapy Courses.
Who should I contact for my Assessments?
Energetic Assessments are obtained separately for each modality. You will also for some modalities need to show your certificates and practice hours where appropriate. You may contact the appropriate Modality Coordinator via email for each modality to obtain your Energetic Assessments when you first apply for Accreditation with the EPA. Energetic Assessments are carried out at the Annual Renewals automatically by the Modality Coordinators.
How do I find out about the Annual Conference or local events in my area?
Once you are a member you will be on the mailing list and be sent details of the annual conference and any local events.
How do I make a complaint about the EPA or raise a concern about a member of the EPA?
Please send a message via the Contact form on this site and your concern will be directed to the EPA Chairman and Directors by our administration staff.
Why join the EPA?
The EPA is a leading association in the standard of professionalism and integrity for any professional/practitioner currently in the world. It offers all its members the opportunity to learn and develop alongside each other, inclusive of those practicing complementary Universal Medicine Therapies and those who are from other professions and occupations. The EPA recognises that we are all ‘Practitioners of Life’ no matter what our chosen profession or occupation.
It is unique in this aspect that all professions and practitioners from all occupations of life are encompassed within one professional association. The EPA Code of Ethics and Conduct is exemplary in its level of integrity and responsibility and affords all members a continuous opportunity to learn, without seeking perfection, by supporting members to grow in their energetic quality and expression.
The EPA is an association which encourages the sharing of knowledge, experience and practice across the globe, between its members, in many different countries. It is an international association, which offers an even greater opportunity to develop and learn.
Who are the EPA members?
EPA members are people from all walks of life and occupations, from around the world. Some are practitioners of the Esoteric Healing Arts, some are practitioners of conventional and/or complementary healthcare practices, others work in wide-range of professions and jobs including building trades, education, corporate sector, retail, service and leisure industries.
I'm not a practitioner of Universal Medicine Therapies - can I still join the EPA?
Yes, anyone can join the EPA and become an Associate Member, which is for any person who would like to support the EPA and its principles, attend our (free) Annual Conferences, and receive regular updates on EPA News. Alternatively, if you are in attendance of Universal Medicine events and are engaged with its teachings and philosophy you may also wish to apply for a ‘Professional Membership’ by choosing to sign and abide by the EPA Code of Ethics and Conduct as a declaration of your commitment in your professional practice.
Can I join just as a Practitioner in Training?
You can join as a Practitioner in Training if you are wishing to become an accredited Practitioner of the Universal Medicine Therapies. To join as a Practitioner in Training you will need to have attended Sacred Esoteric Healing Levels 1 & 2.
Can I have different levels of membership for each modality I want to be accredited for as a Practitioner Member?
Yes. In fact, most Practitioner Members will have different Levels of accreditation for different Modalities. For example an Esoteric Practitioner Level 2 of Sacred Esoteric Healing may also be an Esoteric Practitioner Level 3 of Esoteric Massage and an Esoteric Practitioner in Training for Esoteric Chakra-puncture. In this example, this member would be eligible for insurance for Sacred Esoteric Healing and Esoteric Massage, but not Esoteric Chakra-puncture. They would still receive all necessary information relating to Esoteric Chakra-puncture and its practice as they complete their training.
Each Level of membership for each modality varies in its requirements and prerequisites so therefore it is natural to be accredited at different levels for different modalities.
Which categories of membership need an energetic assessment?
As a Practitioner Member or a Practitioner in Training, you will be required to get an energetic assessment.
How can I get more involved in the EPA?
If you would like to submit an article for the EPA newsletter or would like to get involved in any other way please contact a member of the EPA Committee closest to you.
What is the minimum age to become a member?
Minimum age of membership is 18 years old
